Dr. Thomas Fitzpatrick is a 2001 graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. He went on to receive his doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) from Loma Linda University in 2006. While at Loma Linda University he received recognition as one of the top clinicians in his program. He also won an award for extra coursework in case assessment and treatment planning of dental implants. He is also trained to perform root canals using nickel titanium files with an electric rotary system.
Dr. Fitzpatrick has a passion to expand sustainable dental services to the underserved – both locally and globally. He formed Cura Coffee Company to import organic, fair trade, coffee beans from Nicaragua which helps provide dental services to the 650 farmers and families. Cura Smiles is the non-profit formed to sustain and expand these efforts. Dr. Fitzpatrick has traveled to Mexico, Sri Lanka and Nicaragua on dental teams, most recently overseeing a team of dental students from Loma Linda.
At Del Mar Family Dentistry, Dr. Fitzpatrick wants each patient to experience the confidence of having the healthy, beautiful smile that each person deserves. He looks forward to providing quality care for the entire family.
Dr. Fitzpatrick enjoys traveling, golfing, boating, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. He participates in Optimist International, coaches a youth soccer team and is actively involved in his local church, Horizon Christian Fellowship. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS).
