Dr. Tim Silegy, DDS

r. Silegy practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant placement and wisdom tooth removal to facial reconstruction and treatment of TMJ disorders. Dr. Silegy and his staff understand that trust is fundamental to all relationships and plays an especially important role in the interaction they have with their patients.

They pride themselves on being honest and open with their patients when discussing diagnosis, treatment recommendations and fees. Dr. Silegy is committed to providing uncompromising care for his patients in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment. In addition to maintaining a private practice in Long Beach, Dr. Silegy teaches continuing education courses to physicians, dentists, nurses, hygienists and auxiliaries throughout the country. He has also traveled to Latin America on medical missions to help the impoverished.

Dr. Silegy is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Becoming certified involves completing a core list of various surgeries representative of the specialty and passing an 8 hour written qualifying examination. After that, you must take and pass a four hour oral examination. A Diplomate is required to pass a recertification exam every ten years in order to “maintain” certification.
