Dr. Britton is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, and he received his residency training in ophthalmology from Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Britton is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and maintains memberships in the Oklahoma State Medical Association, Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
He has performed more than 30,000 cataract surgeries and more than 21,000 LASIK procedures on members of his family, dozens of referring doctors, and has even chosen LASIK to improve his own eyesight.
Dr. Britton was Summit and VISX trained in 1996 for PRK and PTK, Intralase trained in 2005, and also trained and experienced in the use of Lasersight and Alcon LADARVision Excimer lasers for LASIK. Dr. Britton is KAMRA® inlay certified as of 2015.
In addition, he is one of the few surgeons in Oklahoma certified to use Visian implantable contact lenses (ICL).
Dr. Britton trains doctors throughout the United States and Canada in refractive procedures and has been honored as one of the top 50 refractive surgeons in North America.
In addition, Dr. Britton has an ongoing interest in Christian medical missions and has made a number of surgical mission trips to Guatemala.
