Since 2003, Dr. Marcano has given residents of Sarasota, Manatee and surrounding areas exemplary care for outstanding smiles. He cares about your oral health and offers quality therapies to keep you smiling for years to come.
Dr. Marcano believes in preventing dental problems to keep your mouth healthy and strong. Dr. Marcano was born in Puerto Rico and obtained his DMD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry. He stays current with modern dentistry though continuing education and prides himself on delivering modern care performed with compassion and attention to detail. Dr. Marcano is also an alumni of the Hornbrook Group, the world’s leading organization for clinical excellence in cosmetic dentistry. He currently holds membership with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Academy of GP Orthodontics, Mid-America Orthodontics Society, Light Force Orthodontics, and International Association for Orthodontics. In addition, he is working toward his accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Marcano is a member of the prestigious Spear Education, one of the world’s leading continued dental education centers, where he is a part of the Faculty Club. As a restorative dentist, it is important for Dr. Marcano to stay at the forefront of dental education, technology and innovation. Dr. Marcano participates in more than 100 hours of continued education annually, far exceeding the state of Florida C.E. requirements. This enables him to provide the newest and best treatment for his patients. Nominated by his peers, Dr. Marcano is part of the Florida Board of Dentistry and Florida Board of Dental Examiners, where he participates in grading future dentists in the State of Florida. Additionally, Dr. Marcano has been selected every year by his peers as “Sarasota’s Top Dentist” since 2012, “Who’s Who Top Doctors Edition” since 2015, and selected to “America’s Best Dentists” since 2012. As an avid bicycle rider, Dr. Marcano has completed La Vuelta a Puerto Rico, a 375 mile bike ride in his native Puerto Rico. He has also completed the Ride Across Florida 3 times and numerous other charity bicycle rides. In 2014, Dr. Marcano and his wife Maribel established and actively run the Ride 2 Remember, a charity organization focused on raising awareness and funds to combat Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as help support caregivers. Dr. Marcano believes that his faith guides his principles, values and pursuit of perfection, as he strives daily to live for his savior Jesus Christ
