Dr. Ivan Chan is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist who has dedicated his life to helping others improve their oral health and overall well-being. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Sacramento, Dr. Chan developed a passion for dentistry at an early age.
Dr. Chan received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, where he majored in Biology and helped run the Student-Run Free Dental Clinics throughout San Diego for underserved communities. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco, where he received extensive training in all aspects of preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Chan also volunteered his time and expertise on numerous mission trips, including serving with the US Navy on the USNS Mercy Hospital Ship, as well as providing dental care to communities in Tijuana and Ensenada, Mexico. These experiences have deepened his commitment to making a positive impact in the world and have reinforced his belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality dental care.
When Dr. Chan is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys watching basketball, visiting local breweries, and traveling to new cities and countries. He believes that maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential for personal and professional growth.
