Dr. Jeffrey R. Unger graduated from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1980. He works in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and specializes in Family Medicine and Diabetes; as well as drug and alcohol addiction. He also serves as the director of metabolic studies at the Catalina Research Institute. Dr. Unger is the ONLY family physician in the world to have been chosen as one of the National Experts for the LEADER cardiovascular clinical trial. He has also been selected as the national investigator for a novel GLP-1 receptor agonist used to treat patients with type 2 diabetes.
