Michael S. Ruddat, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Chicago and the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
Dr. Ruddat completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, where he also completed an ophthalmology residency and served as chief resident. Thereafter, D. Ruddat completed a Vitreo-Retinal Fellowship at the University of Michigan’s W.K. Kellogg Eye Center.
Dr. Ruddat is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served as a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Department of Surgery, Division of Ophthalmology, at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he also served in the retinal clinic.
Dr. Ruddat currently serves as Vice-Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at Hartford Hospital. He has authored several medical papers and contributed to the publication of two retinal textbooks.
