Dr. Stelmach is originally from Richmond, Virginia. She knew since she was in highschool that she wanted to be a dentist. The field of dentistry attracted her for being both a science and an art.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Virginia Commonwealth University and went on the complete her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at VCU as well. She spent part of her early career practicing overseas in New Zealand before returning. She opened Tidewater Dental Arts in 2018 after working as an associate for several other practices.
The procedures she enjoys most are those that relieve pain and discomfort, restore chewing ability, or increase a patient’s confidence. Aside from private practice, she also enjoys volunteer outreach at Crossover Ministry, a free clinic in Richmond, and various Mission of Mercy projects around the state.
