Dr Nicole Chiang is a Consultant Dermatologist in Manchester, UK. She is trained in both paediatric and adult dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool and graduated with an Honours degree in Medicine and Surgery. She underwent general medical training and then pursued her dermatology training in Birmingham and Manchester. She has completed two advanced Dermatology fellowships in Oxford, UK and Sydney, Australia. During her fellowships, she dedicated most of her time treating challenging cases in medical dermatology.

I have known Nicole since she was a medical student and have followed her career since she qualified. She has co-authored with me useful work including an Evaluation of Educational Methods in Dermatology and the very popular Handbook of Dermatology for Senior Medical Students and newly qualified doctors, now in its second edition. She recently spent a short period in Australia on a Fellowship and has co-authored a Chapter in Pediatric Mastercourse (pub Elsevier). She is also a member of the British Association of Dermatologists Therapy & Guidelines Subcommittee. I had the honour to work with Dr Chiang for about a year. She is an amazing doctor and colleague. As a good doctor she makes the care of her patient her first concern. She does her best to make sure all of them receive good care and treatment. She always asks courteous questions, lets patients talk and listens to them carefully. She works cooperatively with other members of the healthcare team. Furthermore she mentors for other health professionals and is ready to learn from others, regardless of their age, role, or status. Nicole and I completed a research fellowship together in Sydney. Nicole is one of the most caring and selfless person that I have met. She is always willing to take one for the team and proactively offering help to other fellow doctors. She is punctual, hard-working, compassionate and always keen to learn. Outside of work, Nicole participates actively in community events including a fund-raiser called the Beachside Dash and Australasian Blistering Diseases Foundation to promote dermatological research.
