Dr. Hickerson earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1980. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Texas to begin his practice, where he has dedicated more than four decades to caring for patients and helping families achieve healthy, confident smiles. Over the years, he has built and expanded his practice into a trusted part of the community, forming long-standing relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.
Always committed to advancing his skills, Dr. Hickerson actively pursues continuing education and training. He is a member of the Texas Dental Association, the Houston Dental Society, and the Spear Study Club, where he collaborates with fellow dentists on complex treatment planning and techniques. His clinical expertise spans complex implant restorations and full mouth rehabilitation, with special interest in using advanced technology such as Digital Smile Design — a comprehensive planning program for intricate cases combining digitally design and with multidisciplinary care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hickerson is a passionate Ohio State football fan who rarely misses a game. He enjoys spending time in his garden, staying active in his church, and contributing to his local community. Most of all, he treasures time with his two grandchildren, who keep him happily busy.
