Ron Margolis, M.D., is an honors graduate of Cornell University and Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Margolis completed an ophthalmology residency at the Cole Eye Institute of the Cleveland Clinic where he served as Chief Resident, and a two year surgical and medical vitreo-retinal fellowship at Columbia University and the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Margolis was the recipient of several awards including the Heed Foundation Fellowship and the Travel Award from the National Eye Institute.
Dr. Margolis is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on topics including vitreoretinal surgical techniques, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, central serous chorioretinopathy, and myopic degeneration.
He is on the faculty at Hartford Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and Manchester Memorial Hospital.
